COVID-19 // Update of 13 September 2021

Dear Air Belgium Travellers,

Dear Madam, Dear Sir,

The French Antilles are experiencing a sharp increase in COVID-19 cases, resulting in a very significant reinforcement of measures and restrictions, particularly with regard to travel and tourist stays. As of 10 August, hotels and seasonal residences must close, and access to cultural sites and beaches is completely forbidden.

The new measures imposed by the French Authorities for stays in Martinique and Guadeloupe oblige us to deny boarding to passengers who wish to travel for any other purpose than the compelling reasons specified by the French regulations. Consult the official information on and

The complete table of travel conditions and measures that apply during for your travel and your stay can be found here.

We deplore this situation, which is entirely beyond our control. We are organising the repatriation of our passengers currently via our regular flights. Should there be no more seats available on our scheduled flights, agreements have been made with Air Caraïbes and Corsair, among others, to organise the repatriation of our passengers via Paris. Air Belgium will then take care of the transportation of these passengers to Belgium.

Every passenger with a reservation made via our website and affected by a change of flight has been or will be contacted directly by our teams, in order of priority based on the closest departure dates. A solution will be proposed to each of these passengers either by postponing their trip to a later date (within the same seasonality) or by a full refund of their booking.

To ensure that we are able to make the necessary changes as quickly as possible, we invite passengers affected by a change to inform us of their choice as soon as possible by email to [email protected] Please include in the subject line: your booking reference, full name and travel dates.

IMPORTANT: Travellers who have booked their flight through a travel agency or tour operator will be informed directly by them.

Given the large number of enquiries to be processed, our teams do their utmost to respond to you as quickly as possible. All requests will be handled in order of priority, according to the closest departures.

We thank you for your trust and remain at your entire disposal,

The Air Belgium Team
